Isaiah Jobe-Winn Graduates from Savannah State University

Isaiah Jobe-Winn graduated from Savannah State University in May 2026.

In May 2026, I graduated from Savannah State University with my Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education, becoming a first-generation college graduate in my immediate family.

The timing made this milestone even more special. During my final semester, I was also serving as a fourth-grade teacher through Savannah State’s Resident Teacher program. So, while I was wrapping up my own journey as a student, I was spending each day responsible for the learning and growth of my own students. It was a full-circle way to finish my undergraduate experience.

Graduation was also a reminder that none of us gets where we are on our own. I have always thought of my life as a mosaic, with pieces contributed by the family, educators, mentors, friends, and experiences that have shaped me along the way. Although my name is on the degree, this moment is just as much a reflection of the people who helped make it possible.

I am proud of what I accomplished at Savannah State and grateful for everything the experience gave me, both inside and outside of the classroom. More than anything, I am excited to keep building on it as I enter my Master of Public Administration Program.
